Full name- William Halse Rivers Rivers. Williams Halse Rivers Rivers is one of the most famous psychiatrics and anthropologist in Britain. During the first World War Rivers treated many patients that had been shell shocked; at Craiglockhart War Hospital near Endinburgh. Many patients were treated at this hospital; the most famous patients being Siegfried Sassoon and Wilfred Owen. Rivers was known for his experiences and as one of the first doctors of his kind in Britain. Rivers was also the director of some of the first two psychological laboratories in Britain. (Ty)
